Hong Kong: Stocks open slightly higher

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares ticked higher in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday, tracking a strong lead from Wall Street and building on the previous day's gains.

The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.05 per cent, or 11.70 points, to 25,795.87.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.09 per cent, or 3.02 points, to 3,192.89 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged 0.05 per cent lower, or 0.94 points, to 1,904.26.
