Hong Kong: Stocks open with rally
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose at the open on Wednesday, tracking another rally on Wall Street, while investors await comments from Federal Reserve boss Janet Yellen after an expected interest rate hike later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.68 per cent, or 153.15 points, to 22,599.85.
But in Shanghai the benchmark composite index shed 0.18 per cent, or 5.66 points, to 3,149.38, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slid 0.15 per cent, or 2.88 points, to 1,973.00.
