[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares surged 1.37 per cent in the first few minutes of trade Friday after the European Central Bank unveiled a bigger-than-expected bond-buying scheme aimed at kickstarting the eurozone economy.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index jumped 335.34 points to 24,857.97.
