[HONG KONG] Shares jumped in Hong Kong soon after opening on Thursday morning, in line with a regional advance, as traders followed a strong lead from Wall Street.
The Hang Seng index rose 0.74 per cent, or 189.43 points, to 25,872.93.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.06 per cent, or 1.78 points, to 3,174.98 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, also edged 0.06 per cent, or 1.10 points, higher to 1,884.47.
