Hong Kong: Stocks return from break to open with gains

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged up on Wednesday as investors returned from a one-day holiday, with attention now on the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, which ends later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.39 per cent, or 107.42 points, to 27,606.81 in early trade.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.15 per cent, or 4.18 points, to 2,785.32 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.17 per cent, or 2.44 points, to 1,439.75.
