Hong Kong: Stocks rise at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares opened higher Tuesday, shrugging off losses on Wall Street ahead of the first debate in the tightening US presidential campaign.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.48 per cent or 110.9 points, to 23,428.82.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.20 per cent, or 5.84 points, to 2,974.59, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.20 per cent, or 4.01 points, to 1,962.59.
