Hong Kong: Stocks slip, Shanghai up at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks tracked US losses to open slightly down on Thursday but Shanghai edged up, extending gains from the previous day on hopes for economic reforms.
The Hang Seng Index opened down 0.25 per cent, or 58.48 points, to 22,995.09, while the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.13 per cent, or 4.55 points, to 3,464.19.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.23 per cent, or 4.85 points, to 2,094.14.
