Hong Kong: Stocks surge to reverse previous day's loss
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares on Thursday wiped out the previous day's losses as soothing words on Donald Trump's tariffs plans eased concerns about a global trade war.
The Hang Seng Index rallied 1.52 per cent, or 457.60 points, to end at 30,654.52.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.51 per cent, or 16.74 points, to 3,288.41 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rallied 1.01 per cent, or 18.60 points, to 1,856.47.
