Malaysia: Shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 17.71 points to 1,796.81.
Volume was 3.1 billion lots worth RM 2.8 billion.
Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 489 to 468.
