Malaysia: Shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 18.36 points to 1,721.93.

Volume was 3.3 billion lots worth RM2.9 billion.

Gainers almost doubled losers 605 to 315.
