Malaysia: Shares close higher on Monday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 8.81 points to 1,570.55.

Volume was 2 billion lots worth RM1.4 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 441 to 376.
