Malaysia: Shares close higher on Thursday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 14.8 points to 1,703.57.
Volume was 2.7 billion lots worth RM2.5 billion.
Gainers outnumbered losers by almost double, at 598 to 294.
