Malaysia: Shares close higher on Wednesday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 19.19 points to 1,597.58.

Volume was 8.910 billion lots worth RM4.223 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 653 to 496.
