Malaysia: Shares close lower on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 16.81 points to 1,589.61.

Volume was 9.886 billion lots worth RM5.188 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 719 to 383.
