MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 6.41 points to 1,621.85.

Volume was 14.216 billion lots worth RM6.751 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 731 to 580.
