MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 9.69 points to 1,590.84.

Volume was 2.1 billion lots worth RM 2.6 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 467 to 297.
