MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 0.25 points to 1,583.25.

Volume was 10.237 billion lots worth RM5.181 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 537 to 496.
