Malaysia: Shares open higher on Thursday

MALAYSIA share prices opened higher on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 5.690 points to 1696.620.
Volume was 53.9 million lots worth RM27.47 million.
Gainers outnumbered losers 160 to 52.
