Malaysia: Shares open higher on Thursday

MALAYSIA share prices open up on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 8.800 points to 1701.140.
Volume was 145.9 million lots worth RM59.3 million.
Gainers outnumbered losers 223 to 35.
