Malaysia: Shares open lower on Wednesday

MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 8.59 points, or 0.53 per cent, to 1,601.56 as at 9.06am.
Volume was 722.51 million lots worth about RM205.61 million. Gainers beat losers 259 to 176.
