Seoul: Stocks, won end steady ahead of Yellen event
[SEOUL] South Korean shares and won finished onshore trade nearly steady on Friday, as investors took to the sidelines ahead of a speech by Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen scheduled for later in the global day.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (Kospi) closed down 0.3 per cent at 2,037.50 points.
The won was quoted at 1,113.7 to the US dollar at the conclusion of onshore trade, up 0.2 per cent compared to Thursday's close of 1,115.9.
