Shanghai, Hong Kong: Stocks up in early trading

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rose in opening deals on Wednesday, a surprise for the mainland market after comments from the Chinese president signalling lower growth.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.9 per cent, or 202.54 points, to 22,770.97, while the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index moved up 0.47 per cent, or 15.63 points, to 3,332.33.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.81 per cent, or 16.14 points, to 2,003.61.
