Shanghai: Shares lower in morning ahead of growth data

[SHANGHAI] Chinese shares were mixed in Wednesday morning trading with Shanghai lower ahead of the release of second quarter economic growth data, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.26 per cent, or 49.52 points, to 3,874.97.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.42 per cent, or 9.04 points, to 2,158.56.
