Shanghai: Stocks down 0.24% in morning trade

[SHANGHAI] Shanghai shares lost 0.24 per cent on Tuesday morning as investors took profits after a nearly five per cent surge the previous day on speculation China plans to overhaul its state-owned enterprises.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 9.38 points to 3,919.04.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.10 per cent, or 2.37 points, to 2,272.47.
