Singapore shares close 0.2% down on Friday
SINGAPORE stocks ended lower on Friday, with the Straits Times Index falling 7.16 points or 0.2 per cent to 3,062.51.
Losers outnumbered gainers 230 to 144, or about eight down for every five up, as 1.85 billion shares worth S$1.06 billion in total changed hands.
The most actively traded counter was YZJ Shipbuilding with 113.07 million shares, falling 13.87 per cent or 19 Singapore cents to S$1.18. Other actives included Rex International with 75.64 million units traded, shedding 5.83 per cent or 0.6 Singapore cent to 9.7 Singapore cents.
Among active index stocks, DBS ended the day at S$24.26, down 0.37 per cent or nine Singapore cents, while Singtel gained 0.96 per cent or three Singapore cents to S$3.17.
