Singapore shares close 0.3% higher

SHARE prices in the Singapore bourse closed higher on Wednesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index gaining 9.21 points or 0.3 per cent to finish at 3,343.88.
Some 1.8 billion shares worth S$1.1 billion were done compared with the previous day's 1.7 billion shares worth S$1.1 billion.
Gainers outpaced losers with 245 counters up and 175 counters down.
