Singapore shares close flat on Thursday
SINGAPORE stocks stayed flat on Thursday, even as afternoon trades pushed the Straits Times Index up by 2.01 points, or 0.06 per cent, to 3,570.02.
The bourse's losers beat gainers 244 to 180 on a bump in liquidity.
Some 2.73 billion shares changed hands for a value of S$1.53 billion.
Index stock Venture Corporation, once a blue-chip darling, fell by S$0.35, or 1.55 per cent, to S$22.22.
Off the index, battered commodities trader Noble Group dropped 0.8 Singapore cent, or 8.6 per cent, to S$0.085.
