Singapore: Shares end the day higher

Singapore shares were up on Friday with the benchmark Straits Times Index rising 24.53 points to close at 3,253.24.
Volume was 1.11 billion shares worth S$910 billion.m
Gainers outnumbered losers 245 to 166.
