SINGAPORE stocks opened 1 per cent higher on Friday afternoon, with the Straits Times Index advancing 36.29 points to 3,524.75 as at 1.02pm.
About 769.1 million shares worth S$699.8 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.91 per share.
The most actively traded counter was Magnus Energy, which was flat at S$0.001 with 36.1 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Thai Beverage, JEP and Infinio.
Gainers outnumbered losers 218 to 130, or about five up for every three down.
