Singapore shares lose 11 points on Thursday

AHEAD of the US tax reform and confirmation that President Donald Trump will replace Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen with Fed governor Jerome Powell, Singapore stocks lost 11.11 points or 0.33 per cent to close lower at 3,380.50.

The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) retreated after being dragged by losses in OCBC and UOB.

Turnover for the day came in at 2.3 billion worth S$1.1 billion. Excluding warrants, losers beat gainers 285 to 170, indicating thin trading.

Among the counters that were the most active were Allied Tech, Artivision Tech and Rowsley.
