Singapore shares open 0.1% down on Wednesday
SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.1 per cent lower on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index dropping 4.18 points to 3,301.9 as at 9.03 am.
About 109.7 million shares worth S$83.5 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.76 per share.
The most actively traded counter was Rowsley, which rose S$0.044 to S$0.117 with 41.8 million shares changing hands. Other actives included HLH and Thai Bev.
Losers outnumbered gainers 61 to 55, or about 10 down for every nine up.
