Singapore shares open 0.3% down on Wednesday
SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.3 per cent lower on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index losing 9.13 points to 2,875.51 as at 9.02 am.
The local blue-chip index followed a dip in US markets overnight, even as Brexit worries resume.
About 50.9 million shares worth S$32.2 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.63 per share.
The field was evenly matched, with as many gainers as losers at 60 each.
Top stocks by value traded were Singtel, DBS, Noble, SPH and CapitaLand.
