Singapore shares open 10.42 points lower on Wednesday
SINGAPORE share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 10.42 points to 2,803.27 as at 9.02 am. Overnight, Wall Street stocks fell as anxiety in financial markets grew with a key poll suggesting that Republican candidate Donald Trump could win next week's presidential election in the US.
Top losers in early morning trade included Singtel and Keppel Corp.
Some 74.7 million shares worth S$47.5 million changed hands, with losers outnumbering gainers 96 to 53.
