Singapore shares open a little lower on Wednesday
SINGAPORE shares opened marginally lower on Wednesday as the Straits Times Index (STI) dipped 0.48 point, or 0.02 per cent, to 2,923.01.
As at 9.01am, 42.9 million shares worth S$44.9 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 64 to 37.
Meanwhile, Tokyo shares opened 0.34 per cent lower on a slightly stronger yen, despite a positive lead from Wall Street. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan nudged up 0.2 per cent.
