Singapore shares open higher on Thursday

SINGAPORE shares edged higher along with other Asian stocks on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index up 21.05 points or 0.76 per cent to 2,807.18. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan edged up 0.2 per cent in early-morning trading while Japan's Nikkei share average rose 0.3 per cent.
As at 9.02am, 28.1 million shares worth S$38.1 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 82 to 32.
