Singapore shares open marginally up on Tuesday
SINGAPORE shares opened higher on Tuesday with the benchmark Straits Times Index up 1.66 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 3,145.69 at 9.03am.
Some 66.2 million shares worth S$86.7 million changed hands with gainers outnumbering losers 90 to 58.
Top value-traded gainers were Keppel Corp, OCBC Bank and DBS Bank, while top losers were Jardine C&C, Dairy Farm and ST Engineering.
Asian equities edged higher after a rally swept across financial markets in the wake of the French elections. The euro held on to its biggest advance since June while the yen was steady after Monday's declines, said Bloomberg.
