Singapore shares open nearly 10 points down on Monday

SHARE prices on the local bourse began the week on a low note with the key Straits Times Index opening 9.51 points lower at 2,897.29 on Monday at 9.02am.
Some 82 million shares worth S$136 million were done with 81 counters up and 62 counters down.
