Singapore shares open slightly lower on Friday

SINGAPORE shares opened slightly lower on Friday, following a retreat on Wall Street on Thursday.
At 9.02am, the benchmark Straits Times Index was down 1.75 points at 3,269.36.
Still, gainers outnumbered losers 73 to 65 after some 104.6 million shares worth S$138.7 million changed hands.
