Singapore shares open up on Monday
SINGAPORE stocks opened higher on Monday, with the Straits Times Index gaining 0.4 per cent or 13.27 points to 3,233.52 as at 9.01am.
About 29.8 million shares worth S$55 million in total changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 67 to 27.
The most actively traded counter was Blumont Group, which was flat at S$0.001 with 17.1 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Genting Singapore and QT Vascular.
Additionally, results of Singapore's consumer price index will be released later today at 1pm.
