Singapore stocks resume Monday afternoon trading on higher ground; STI at 3,392.08
SINGAPORE shares resumed trading on Monday afternoon in positive territory with the Straits Times Index at 3,392.08, up 0.4 per cent or 14.84 points on the day as at 1pm.
Against the benchmark's level of 3,391.17 heading into the midday break, the index was up marginally by 0.91 point, or 0.02 per cent.
About 1.17 billion shares worth S$793.2 million in total changed hands.
Gainers outnumbered losers 219 to 172.
The most actively traded counter were Allied Technologies, which rose 3 per cent, or 0.2 Singapore cent to 6.9 Singapore cents with 50.6 million shares traded; and Jiutian Chemical which was up 1.7 per cent, or 0.1 Singapore cent to six Singapore cents with 37.4 million shares traded.
Other active index stocks included SGX which was down 6.6 per cent to S$7.37; and DBS which fell 1.8 per cent to S$27.20.
