Singapore stocks: STI resumes Friday afternoon at 3,058.65, up 0.37% on day

SINGAPORE stocks rose on Friday afternoon's trading resumption, with the Straits Times Index climbing 11.26 points or 0.37 per cent on the day to 3,058.65 as at 1.03pm.

Gainers beat losers 214 to 137, or about three securities up for every two down, as 887.4 million securities worth S$579.6 million changed hands.

The most actively traded counter was Genting Singapore, which gained one Singapore cent or 1.1 per cent to S$0.96 with about 33.3 million shares changing hands.

Other actives included Rex International, up 0.2 Singapore cent or 2 per cent to S$0.103 with 26.8 million shares traded; and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, which added two Singapore cents or 1.6 per cent to S$1.25 after 23.6 million shares were traded.

Active index stocks by value included DBS Group Holdings, up one Singapore cent or 0.04 per cent to S$24.32; and OCBC Bank, down 0.1 per cent or S$0.01 to S$10.67.
