Singapore stocks: STI resumes Friday afternoon at 3,154.39, up 0.7% on day

SINGAPORE shares resumed trading on Friday in positive territory, with the Straits Times Index up 0.7 per cent or 22.62 points to 3,154.39 as at 1.04 pm. About 870 million shares worth S$466 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.54 per share. Gainers outnumbered losers 195 to 122.
The most actively traded stock was BlackGold Natural Resources, which rose S$0.002 to S$0.026 with 33.9 million shares changing hands.
Other actives included Rex International and Ezion Holdings.
Among index stocks, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding shares were trading up S$0.02 or 1.8 per cent at S$1.11 and Genting Singapore shares were up S$0.01 or 1 per cent up at S$1.04.
