Singapore stocks: STI resumes Friday afternoon trading higher at 3,213.52, up 1% on day

SINGAPORE stocks resumed trading on Friday afternoon in positive territory, with the Straits Times Index advancing 33.09 points, or one per cent to 3,213.52 as at 1pm.
Gainers outnumbered losers 186 to 134, after about 757.5 million shares worth S$559.4 million in total changed hands.
Among the most heavily traded by volume, YZJ Shipbuilding rose 0.9 per cent or one Singapore cent to S$1.17, with 28 million shares traded. Thai Beverage was up 2.2 per cent to S$0.685, with 17.8 million shares traded.
Other active index stocks included DBS, which gained 3.1 per cent to S$26, and OCBC Bank, which rose 1.6 per cent to S$11.28.
