Singapore stocks: STI resumes Monday afternoon at 3,581.86, up 0.2%
SINGAPORE stocks resumed trading on Monday afternoon in positive territory, with the Straits Times Index advancing 8.48 points, or 0.2 per cent on the day to 3,581.86 as at 1pm.
Against the benchmark level of 3,586 heading into the midday break, however, the index was down marginally by 4.14 points, or 0.12 per cent.
The field was evenly matched with 150 gainers to 147 losers.
About 819.2 million shares worth S$538.6 million changed hands.
The most active stocks by volume were NGSC which was flat at 0.1 Singapore cent with 28.7 million shares traded; and Ezion which was down 1.16 per cent or 0.2 Singapore cent to 17.1 Singapore cents with 28 million shares traded.
Other active stocks included Venture Corp which rose 1.8 per cent to S$25.75; and Keppel Corp was 1.34 per cent higher at S$8.32.
