Singapore stocks: STI resumes Wednesday afternoon at 3,485.22, up 0.54%
SINGAPORE stocks resumed trading on Wednesday afternoon in positive territory, with the Straits Times Index rising 0.54 per cent or 18.84 points on the day to 3,485.22 as at 1.01pm.
Gainers outnumbered losers 205 to 149, or about 11 stocks up for every eight down, after 724.5 million shares worth S$543.1 million changed hands.
Among the most heavily traded by volume, Rowsley moved up 3.2 per cent or S$0.004 to S$0.128 with 76.1 million shares traded. AusGroup headed up 9.1 per cent or S$0.004 to S$0.048 with 29.6 million shares traded.
Active index stocks included DBS Group Holdings, up 0.6 per cent or S$0.17 to S$28.16; and United Overseas Bank, up 0.5 per cent or S$0.13 to S$28.05.
