Singapore stocks: STI resumes Wednesday afternoon trading at 3,050.07, up 0.6% on day
SINGAPORE stocks resumed Wednesday afternoon trading with the Straits Times Index up 0.6 per cent, or 18.68 points, to 3,050.07 as at 1pm.
Gainers outnumbered losers 162 to 140, with 885.6 million shares worth S$447 million changing hands.
The most actively traded counter was Rex International, which fell 11.5 per cent, or one Singapore cent, with 70.3 million shares changing hands. Other actives included KLW and Genting Singapore.
Among active index stocks, Singapore banks rose. DBS traded up 0.83 per cent to S$24.17 while OCBC Bank gained 1.61 per cent to S$10.73. UOB was up 1.2 per cent at S$25.20.
