Stocks to watch: CapitaLand Investment, Roxy-Pacific, Hatten Land, Spackman, Darco Water

CAPITALAND Investment (CLI): 9CI The real estate investment manager will be making its debut on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Monday with CapitaLandInvest as its trading name. It takes over from CapitaLand Limited, which on Sept 9 ceased trading at S$4.00 and will delist from the SGX on Tuesday, 9am. For every 100 CapitaLand shares owned, shareholders received 100 shares of CLI, S$95.10 in cash and 15.5 units of CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust. The total implied consideration was S$4.102 per share, with CLI shares valued at S$2.823 each.

Roxy-Pacific Holdings: E8Z : E8Z 0% The property and hospitality group on Monday said it received a pre-conditional voluntary general offer for all the issued ordinary shares in the company at a price of 48.5 Singapore cents per share. The offeror, TKL & Family, is the bid vehicle of a consortium formed by 11 individuals, including the chairman and chief executive of Roxy-Pacific, Teo Hong Lim. Shares of Roxy-Pacific last closed at 40.5 Singapore cents on Sep 14, before it called for a trading halt on Sep 15. Its shares resume trading today.

Hatten Land: PH0 The property developer on Friday said it has yet to receive a US$60 million payment for the sale of its Malaysian unit Gold Mart, a transaction that was approved by shareholders in November last year. Completion for the transaction was last due on Sept 17, 2021 following multiple extensions. The buyer has assured Hatten Land's management that it remains keen and committed to completing the proposed transaction. Prior to the announcement, shares of Hatten Land closed at 7.3 Singapore cents on Friday, up 1.3 cents or 21.7 per cent.

Spackman Entertainment Group: 40EThe Singapore Exchange (SGX) has shot off a list of queries to the group regarding the latter's plan to sell its entire Zip Cinema business for about 18 billion won (S$20.6 million). In its response to these queries on Friday evening, the group also said its proposed disposal of a Zip Korea-owned office building in Paju-si, South Korea, is expected to complete between mid-November and the end of the year. Spackman shares ended Friday unchanged at 0.5 Singapore cent, before the response was filed.

Darco Water Technologies: BLR On Friday the group said its board of directors is still assessing whether to proceed with its proposed investment in the Gaoyi domestic wastewater treatment project. Darco and its former non-executive deputy chairman, who had in 2018 signed a non-binding letter of intent for the project, have until March 23, 2022 to determine if the company will proceed with its investment in either the Gaoyi project or any other alternative water treatment asset. Shares of Darco closed unchanged on Friday at 18.6 Singapore cents, before the news.
