Japfa: UD2 The mainboard-listed agri-food company on Tuesday posted a 63 per cent fall in net profit to US$118.8 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021, dragged by its animal protein others segment. This brought the group's earnings per share for the full year to US$0.0582, down from US$0.1586 the previous year. Japfa shares ended Tuesday at S$0.60, up S$0.01 or 1.7 per cent, before the announcement.
Cosco Shipping: F83 The mainboard-listed logistics management service provider saw its net profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021 surge 261 per cent to S$30.1 million from S$8.3 million a year prior. In its financial statement on Tuesday, the group attributed its earnings growth to a gain on disposal of a subsidiary and higher shipping charges. Shares of Cosco Shipping closed up 2 per cent or S$0.005 at S$0.255 on Tuesday before the announcement.
Don Agro International: GRQ The Russian agri and dairy company said its business operations are facing "minimal impact" from the current events in Russia and Ukraine. In conjunction with its press statement on Wednesday, the Catalist-listed group posted SS$5.6 million in net profit for the second half ended Dec 31, 2021, representing a 29.4 per cent increase year on year. Shares of Don Agro finished Tuesday S$0.03 or 8.8 per cent lower at S$0.31.
ComfortDelGro: C52 The Australian unit of the mainboard-listed transport operator, ComfortDelGro Corporation Australia, has entered into a green hydrogen partnership that will see it operating 2 hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric buses in Geelong, Australia. The partnership, which was announced on Tuesday, will establish a hydrogen refuelling station in the city in late 2023, and see other partners deploying a fleet of hydrogen-fuelled heavy vehicles that will operate in the local community. The counter closed at S$1.43, up 1.4 per cent or S$0.02, on Tuesday after the announcement.
