Stocks to watch: NeraTel, Jardine C&C, OCBC
THE following stocks made material announcements which may affect trading on Friday:
Nera Telecommunications said that it is currently at an advanced stage of discussions with a third party on the possible sale of its payment solutions business. Its trading halt has been lifted.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage's first-quarter net profit fell 20 per cent to US$140.6 million, or 36 US cents per share, on weaker contributions from its Astra subsidiary, the car distributor announced on Thursday after the market closed.
OCBC Bank reported on Friday a net profit of S$856 million for the first quarter of 2016, a fall of 14 per cent from S$993 million a year ago as growth in net interest income and higher associates' contribution were offset by lower insurance income and increased allowances.
