Stocks to watch: Noble, SGX, ST Engineering, Jardine C&C
THE following listed companies made material announcements before the Singapore market opened on Friday:
Noble Group has plunged into the red for 2015, recording its first annual loss in almost two decades of US$1.67 billion as the weight of an earlier-announced impairment charge bore down on the firm.
Singapore Exchange (SGX) has submitted a non-binding bid to buy The Baltic Exchange, SGX revealed in an announcement.
Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) reported on Friday that its net profit for the year ended Dec 31, 2015, slipped 0.5 per cent to S$529.0 million, from about S$532 million in 2014.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage (Jardine C&C) posted a 16 per cent drop in net profit to US$688 million for the year ended December 2015 from US$820 million a year ago.
